What helps sz, besides taking medicine? I know exercise can help…I’m trying to get new ideas?
I’ve seen a psychologist for a while. Helps out with negative thinking. Otherwise, as you said exercise is good. Eating a healthy diet is also important.
Now I’m 50. Exercise as much as you can when your young and make it a healthy habit.
Wish I started earlier for sure.
Sleep helps a lot but too much sleep has a bad effect.
No access to conspiracy youtube videos…it helps to clean your thoughts
I believe if you have friends and have a job, it will make you feel better. Even if you have negative symptoms. Only if it is easier to accomplish.
Eating healthy and not drinking alcohol helps a LOT with me.
I cut out caffeine and that helped me.
Avoiding drugs and alcohol or at least a bit of moderation.
A stable living environment.
Keeping busy.
Avoiding stress as much as possible
Enjoying simple pleasures in life
Being kind to yourself and taking time to do something comforting
A supportive relationship
Good sleep
Good nutrition
Regular exercise
Meditation
Socialization
Study
Culture
Work and/or volunteering
Prayer and religious involvement
A good and stable income.
Pets???
Travel??
Music is my thing. It can be a great coping mechanism whether I am playing my instruments or just listening. It’s an awesome distraction.
