Park your butt.

Whenever I feel something coming on (I’ve never had a major break where I didn’t know where I was but I’ve had small ones that have caused me to really freak out), I “park my butt” in my room and stay there till it passes. That way I don’t wander into the street or get into a bad situation because I’m so out of my head that I can’t fully appreciate my surroundings.

I find that when I do something or go somewhere spontaneously it often works out way better than planning everything out.

Your doctor wants to help you. He is probably not against you and he prescribes medication because he’s seen it work for so many other people. You’re both on the same side.

Don’t dwell about missed opportunity. Learn as much as you can about sz, medication, and yourself. If you experience pervasive negative symptoms do not lose hope, it can take years but with your help your doctor will find something
