Which antipsychotic is good for anxiety without taking additional benzo?

Clozapine maybe because it’s really sedating. Certain antipsychotics can cause akathisia for a lot of people. I’m pretty sure when they gave me clozapine they took away my clonazapem because they didn’t mix or I didn’t have anxiety anymore.
Honestly abilify helps my anxiety. Some people report way differently. Prolixin gave me the worst anxiety for example. But everyone must be different. But some meds are more prone to cause anxiety. They give other meds to balance it out often
I like saphris, it calms me down. I still have anxiety, just not as bad.

My vote is for Clozapine, if you want to stay away from benzos. Also Buspar might work. 
I’ve had luck with Perphanezine.
Haldol helped with my anxiety because I felt too bad to be anxious.

I like perphenazine. It’s really helped a lot with my anxiety.
I take haldol for anxiety. It works pretty well. I also get a shot of haldol.
With risperidone I didn’t take benzos
Neither clozapine nor benzos worked for me. Only pregabalin.
Lorazepam used to work for me.
It seems like old med work better than new med.
APs can make anxiety worse.
You’re better off with a benzo.

People always said benzo is addicting and cause more damage to the brain so try to avoid it if possible.

The ones thaf heavily sedate you probably. Especially if you take some in the morning. I still have to take valium with my clozapine though
HOw much Haldol do you take? I didn’t know Haldol worked for anxiety. I’ve been on it for ten years.
My son is in a small mecical place its like supported living My son was on clozapine and has been taken of has bloods were low they have put him on a 5 mg of something else to tide him over having bloods taken a lot he hAs put on a lot of weight since on clozapine he was only on 200 clozapine he said hes ok but before he couldent sleep because of the voices and when put on clozapine he was able to sleep which has helped him come on all ok im worried he will get ill he never had anything wrong except a bit of add in the past and dispraxia and slight touretts the doctor whom put him on clozapine said youcant come of it has can make you a lot worse which im scared now so keeping informed with his new place for updates when on the drug clozapine you have to drink loads of water and not to get constipated it could be fatal if you do. I know tbey are checking him every day but im worried
