Saphris is calming. I don’t know if it helps with anxiety. Normally, when I’m instructed to take an extra one it’s because I’m freaking out over voices and can’t come out of the bathroom, not because of anxiety.

I’m on abilify which can be very stimulating when I take my morning dose. I just started taking L-theanine to help with that, though.

I wish abilify had worked for me but it made me so manic I couldn’t take it. It really was promising in the beginning

It’s kept me pretty stable for the most part. I’ve been able to keep busy and make sure I wear myself out by the end of the day. I do hope it stays that way. Been on it for a month.

How long were you on it before you had to stop taking it?

I took it for 1 month and started getting white flashes when I closed my eyes was terrible. I then stopped it seemed so powerful

Thank you for the info. Nothing like that is happening to me but I will keep an extra eye out for things like that.

Like @Happy_Heather Saphris helped my anxiety because of the sedative effects. I’m now taking Abilify and its not as effective for anxiety. But I have some situational stuff going on now that are spiking my stress levels and anxiety.

No unfortunately. I am very anxious person to the point that I has no life, but now I am trying lithium for that purpose as you know wallafish  My ill friends are helped on their anxiety by the aps, but on me, it doesn’t work like this…

As an antipsychotic, abilify has been good for my anger management, I need other meds for my anxiety, though. Even then, with Klonapin, I still have some anxiety.

Anna lithium wasn’t working for me it was dampering my emotions. I now changed to elite hope it works better. Stick with the lithium and see how it works for you

I know for you wallafish. Me, it was the Zyprexa who was killing my positive emotions. For the moment, I don’t have this on the lithium. I was boiling from emotions inside of me before it, so maybe I need some calming down too in a way. I read one guy on the net who was telling that in the start of the lithium, he was knocked out cause it works firstly against mania, but after that he lifted. It will be good if it will be like this. But my problem is that I don’t go out at all, it complicates the things for me…Plus, I was so ill for so many time that now it will be tough. I have 10 different states in the day tbh  . from anxiety to depression, from emotions to paranoia etc etc… My situation is bad, yeah.

I got sort of too-happy (hypomanic i guess) at the beginning of Lithium. It was great, I wanted to stay at that dose. But I’m now on 600mg and sort of leveled off, more on the downside. I know its not a therapeutic dose but its working pretty good with all the other crap i’m taking.

@Skims, do the lithium helps you with the anxiety?

Anna lithium didn’t help me with anxiety unfortunately…

The anti depressant lexapro has helped alot.

Are you on a anti depressant

My AP is Seroquel, and I’ve found that a small dose (25 or 50 mg) of Seroquel does help with my anxiety.

I see, ill take note of this. But my previous ads made me all very agitated and paranoid. Even my doc is afraid to give me an ad… I have some inner waves of energy in me, some kind of fluctuations in my inner energy and the ads made all this quite worse…
