Since i cant be on antidepressants. I would like to know if any antipsychotic helps anxiety and panic disorder ? My current benzo helps anxiety but has worsen my memory. I would like to reduce my benzo dose and maybe add a antipsychotic for anxiety.
Literature suggests seroquel(quetiapine) helps with anxiety. You know any studies of antipsychotics for anxiety.
I take clozapine, paroxetine(not helping for panic), clobazam(helps for panic but worsens memory)
Zyprexa helped me loads for anxiety when i used to take it.

Yes, I’m 99% certain clozapine has worsened my anxiety. But i fear if i stop clozapine and go to another antipsychotic I might relapse.

Yes, people are prescribed antipsychotics for anxiety. Even people without psychosis, usually at a low dose. It’s not first line though because of the side effect profile.
I’ve read that Seroquel can be effective for anxiety, but I don’t have any experience with it. Edit: I just saw that you mentioned already knowing this in your post, sorry about that!

I haven’t taken my PRN Klonopin since my third day on Zyprexa. My panic attacks are just GONE.

No, Haldol. I’ve never taken clozapine.
I didnt ask for the reasoning behind my med increase, but my pdoc just increased my antipsychotic from 10 mg to 15 mg to help with my anxiety.
