What is considered delusional thinking?

Does a delusion have to be something along the lines of “People are following me and trying to kill me” or could a delusion be “My family doesn’t love me and hates me”. What qualifies as a delusion?

I’d say both those things could be a delusion.

I guess a delusion is something you believe against logic and evidence.

Both are very common types of delusions

A fixed, false belief that flies in the face of accepted cultural norms, logic, and reality.

It’s a fine line. CBT was created for everyday people, who happen to have distorted thinking patterns. This is amongst quote unquote normal people. This shouldn’t be confused with a delusion

To me, a delusion is more along the lines of someone is controlling my mind, or the people on TV are targeting me

Delusion is thinking you deserve the royaltreatment while waiting for the bus to work.

When you’re skeptical about something, which in then triggers paranoia.
