I found that having a consistent bed time works. I had a lot of trouble sleeping the whole night when I first got medicated. But it seems like it balanced out now. I don’t exercise, I nap and can still sleep 10 hours. I usually write before bed. My dad reads before bed. You shouldn’t be on your phone or computer or any kind of screen for like 1 or 2 hours before you sleep. Blue light is bad for the brain.

Hope you can get some sleep. I took melatonin for a while. I honestly think I built up a tolerance to it. It didn’t really work for me. Like I said I basically am in bed all day but go to actual bed at 8pm. My dog usually wakes up at 4am so I get a solid 8 hours.

I just wonder why you wouldn’t try a non addictive pill sleep aid like trazadone? it works for me even though I have to take 200 mg. as far as still not wanting to do that, I hear eating watermelon before bed makes you sleepy. turkey will also make you sleep.

When I had dreadful insomnia

Also, when I quit clozapine I couldn’t sleep for 2 weeks.

That wasn’t an option for me. I’m on 1.5mg of clonazepam every night.
