I love Christmas but I realise some people find it hard at this time of year so we got to try and cheer people up if we can, especially if they have a serious mental illness like us.

I don’t even decorate for Xmas. Maybe if their were kids in the house but I’m alone so.
When my daughter was a kid I used to bake cookies every day in the month of December. So from December 1 to December 25 every day cookies. Sugar cookies, chocolate chip. I made good money back then. It was a holiday season tradition.
I also used to order pizza on tree decorating day. So I could focus on decorating without having to cook. My intention was that my daughter help me decorate but she always just grabbed a slice and ran back to her room

My dad’s side of the family makes these every year for the holidays, and they’re delish!
We call them “hallacas” (hai-ya-kas)

I love Christmas. I love the lights and the glitter and all the decorations and celebrations. I love how not everyone celebrates Christmas but a lot of people celebrate something no matter what you call it. I love getting together with my family. I love giving people a bunch of beautifully wrapped up stuff. I get excited thinking about making them happy with a gift, a treasure. I love Christmas music and will often get yelled at for singing it in July. I love snow. I love watching the kids open their gifts. I love all of it, I love Christmas.
