What do you do for a living?

Do you live from family, government or do you have a job? It’s difficult to get a job or hold on to it with schizophrenia. I’m unemployed at the moment. Might start a website design agency with a friend.

I am an analyst

Am able to do this as I disclosed my issues and have a adjustment passport that lets me work from home

At home I can control the temperature, lighting, sound etc

Helps me massively

I am not built for open plan offices

Far too distracting and I’d rather be ignorant to the politics that goes on

Still working on getting work. I’ve never had so much trouble finding a job until now that I’m over 50 with this disorder it’s been difficult. Currently on SSDI but it’s not enough to live on and support my pup.

I am a medical doctor.
I work and earn a salary, it’s enough to get by for now since I just need money to take care of myself and my dependents. I think I’m pretty good at my job and I enjoy my work but I also have to continually take exams to progress or to get the license to practice elsewhere in my case the UK. I wish I could just practice wherever I wanted without taking all these exams.

Im not currently working. Im a full time mum of 2 boys aged 3 and 1.

When they are both in school I shall look for part time work. Something meaningless with no stress. Even if it’s just working at a check out.

I used to be a music teacher years ago.

I’m a commercial insurance broker. I used to specialize in providing coverage for mid-to-large sized fleets. Now I’m working for a smaller company that specializes in boutique solutions for businesses that do things that are hard to cover in the main market. My title on my business card is “Senior Account Manager”. I work 100% remote.

I’m on disability. Have been for around 15 years. I still have dreams I am back working by old job before schiz.

I’m fifty five years old and have not worked for pay since 1996. I don’t know if my new pdoc thinks I’m well enough to work. I look vibrant at times, like when I see her. I don’t think I can work. I walk every day because I feel less helpless in case I’m asked to step up my game I want to be physically fit. Maybe I can work part-time? I don’t want a lengthy commute and my sleep is erratic. I pretty much like it as it is. I have disability and help with my rent. As it is, it is a struggle to get through the day but over the years I’ve learned how to occupy myself with hobbies and such.
