I just finished “contagious” by Jonah Berger. It is a book on why things go viral. I’m currently now reading a “for dummies” book on digital marketing. It’s mostly review of what I already know so far.
What are you reading yourself?
I started orhan pamuks book “the snow”
It’s about ka, a man from instambul who was a political refugee in Germany for twelve years
he comes in Turky and goes to kars where the Muslim girls commit suicide
The book have a love story
A political peep
And insight from a lonely man
When I finish I might read a Kafka novel
Or Kamarazow brothers
Or another pamuks book
@Rhubot you reading anything?
Mainly school books, so GIS & Public Health, and Jurisprudence by Brian Bix.
I’m trying to read a novel called The Half-Drowned King by Linnea Hartsuyker, which I picked up mainly because I liked the title. It’s set in medieval Norway and so far I am finding it a bit of a slog. I don’t know how much of that is the book and how much is just me being tired, but there you go.
I read mostly shamanic/spiritual/occult books with the exception of some self help and philosophy
I’m reading an Agatha Christie novel right now.
I’m not reading anything right now but I have the same literature interests as @anon92220549
I am reading a biography about a simple man’s experience of WWII and subsequent deportation to Siberia. It’s eye opening but sad.
I’m reading superbrain from Deepak Chopra and Tanzi + a coursebook about The science of the senses.
I prefer non-fiction books myself, with a preference toward anything scientific. At the moment i’m reading “What makes your brain happy and why you should do the opposite”. It is a very interesting book. Looks at all the subconscious biases we all have in regards to making decisions.
Reading Louise l hay you can heal your life… trying to help myself
I personally love science fiction:)
I am currently re-reading the face by Dean Koontz.
i read 19 percent of a book
I have been unable to read for a while but was finally able to sit and enjoy 2 books. One was by a favorite author and the other was #3 in the Game of Thrones series.
I am re-reading Escape From Alcatraz, which is about the history of Alcatraz. It’s the book the Clint Eastwood movie was based on.
Programming in C, Absolute Beginner’s Guide.
Have you read three body problem yet? That book blew me away. It is written in China and apparently, it is like Star Wars over there.
