Whats your thoughts on this drug? Any experiences bad side effects or possibly the bennifit of being on it? As oposed to other drugs
As opposed to other drugs it is apaarently less sedating.
I had akathsia for the first two months.

Less sedating and for some people too stimulating (anxiety, restlessness, insomnia…).

Good medication. Expensive, i can’t take Abilify by itself without depression.

it gave me tardive dyskenesia
It helped my moods but it was by far the worst at giving me tremors, so I had to stop it.
Same as Invega, a little sedating, that’s it.
It’s been a great drug for me, the best AP I’ve been on. I took the tablets for years, and now I’m on the injection. It doesn’t cause me akathisia, or any other side effects, but everyone is different.
Good medicine. No noticeable side effects, and can still have sex (according to my friend.)

It was a miracle drug for me for about 7 years. Now I get awful side effects every time I try it.
That’s the way it was for me. I actually got an increase in physical strength from being on Abilify. They eventually had to take me off it. I think Abilify might have helped me with my negative symptoms, though.

I take ability shots my brain still tells me it tastes like penut butter but in all seriousness it’s been my most effective medication with the least side effects no drowsiness I can wheelie a dirt bike again before I’d have ended up in a ditch other meds limit my censory inputs too much and I can’t function as well cheers hope it works for you
Hi. I wasn’t as sleepy on Abilify but I had really bad akathisia on it. I had to switch to a new med. I don’t have much more experience

Akithesia early and it was mad but that went away.
Just never quite worked out for me and I gave it like 1-2 years of my life. Ended up finally realizing I wasn’t moving and went back to zyprexa. That really was a wasted couple of years but it was worth it if it worked!
It’s a tough one. Newer drugs should be better but I think we’re squeezing out the last of the dopamine drugs. We need novel drugs that affect other things I feel.

I gained 60 pounds on this drug that my pdoc told me was weight neutral. All the weight came off when I stopped the drug, so I know it was the Abilify.
it’s a shame my body reacted that way, because it works nicely.
I didnt get any side effects. But thats me, some arent so lucky. I know its said a lot, but every drug really does act differently on every single person.
I was my most paranoid while I was taking Abilify. Just wasn’t a good drug for me.
I still have lingering paranoia and other fears and anxieties on abilify, but the halt to my psychotic progression was pretty miraculous for me. I’m glad it works for me with just a few side effects.
