I’m on a low dose of Abilify. At higher doses it gave me anxiety and akathisia. I don’t have much in the way of side effects now. I have no positive symptoms while on it.
I’m on 25mg now, started on 10 or 15. Don’t remember.
It’s worked great for me, but after a while, I started feeling like the effects tapered off a bit.
I thought it worked well for me. Gave me side effects of restlessness (and as a result worsened my insomnia a bit) and increased anxiety though, but those were helped somewhat with benzodiazepines
It’s the best med I tried. It has no sideeffects for me. May be not the most effective med but it works for me.
I think overall abilify as an antipsychotic has less sideeffects although still possible to have some, and is average In effectiveness as far as antipsychotics go.
I’m sure there’s at least one better med out there for me but I’m content with my 15 mg abilify.
When I tried Abilify, I was extremely paranoid on it. Every tenth thought I had was a paranoid thought. I was bombarded by paranoid thoughts on this drug. It was so bad that I was reduced to tears.
i am anxious and paranoid on abilify and the voices got louder when i switched to it but that may be because i quit my last med cold turkey side effects increased appetite i gained like 3 pounds in 2 months and i am eating Alot more than i was on geodon and sometimes when i stand up i will pass out or almost pass out, i ran out of abilify a couple days ago im going to try one of the older ap’s i think
Abilify 15mg here. I started at 10mg this go and yes, at first it gave me anxiety. Now, it’s the best medication I’ve ever been on. Excellent on voices (not great on paranoia though) and even negative symptoms.
Typically, we like to leave inactive threads alone and just start a new thread instead. This is different than how some forums are run, but we do it this way because it frequently upsets users to have old topics revived when they are no longer relevant. It can also be frustrating to the person who revived the thread when they don’t get a reply, because the original poster is no longer active or no longer finds the topic relevant.
