Did the movies bring you to the books or did you already know about them before they went to the screen
@FreeLunch I started reading them before the movies were made and watched the movies as they came out seeing each one in theaters
They taught me to read… I was a late bloomer when it came to reading
So Twilight was actually really pivotal in helping you learn to read that’s amazing must be really important to you
@FreeLunch you should have heard that theater when Jacob Black took his shirt off WOOO!
@FreeLunch yes and I still read/listen to the books to this day
Lol🙄 nevermind lol
Haha just kidding.
@FreeLunch I’m joking around lol but seriously it was very important to me and still is
@Twialine I’ve never read any of the Twilight books but I do love finding books I love so much I read and reread
@TheIdlerWheel it’s an amazing series, I finally started Midnight Sun for the first time but I’ve read all of the main series many times over it’s amazing!!
I’m reading “Other People’s Things by Kerry Anne King.”
Edited: it’s for my book club.
I’ve read that one, tough going there
This post
Hiyooooooooooooo
I am reading the complete works of Sherlock Holmes. I’ve actually read it before, but it was several years ago and i don’t remember what happens, so it is like reading it for the first time.
Oh how fun! @Sezbot241
These books all look interesting. I didn’t read for many months focusing my energies on guitar and mandolin. I didn’t have energy to read. Recently I was inspired by YouTube to read Charles Bukowski.
I ordered a novel by mail and checked a book of short stories out from the library. I’ve been reading him for a few days after my musical obligations are filled.
I get the feeling from YouTube he was drunk most of the time and I wonder how so many people can be alcoholic and intellectual too?
I think the movie Barfly was about Bukowski . My little brother tells me I need to read him but haven’t yet. I’m interested in what you think about it…it’s on my list but many authors were alcoholics or drug addicts. It’s not uncommon for sure.
@Jinx Oh a musician? Very nice! What type of music do you play? Do you perform?
Bukowski is good. It’s been so long since I’ve read him. I need to go back through. Musicians, authors, any type of artists definitely perform differently when on something. It’s to be argued whether it’s better when they’re under the influence versus sober.
I could see how it would be but I have no deadline so I’m taking it easy… Not so bad. It is the illustrated one.
Nothing other than the Book-I-cannot-mention-here.
I was thinking of buying Edith Eger’s book on forgiveness and healing.
