I’ll wait a few months and if Microsoft still say they won’t be providing updates, I’ll install Debian Linux.
I got a free windows 11 installed
fortunately, I have windows 11
My PC isn’t compatible with windows 11 unfortunately. It’s too old apparently.
My ancient Windows 10 desktop is going in the trashbin. I already have its replacement: a Dell Windows 11 laptop.
Keep using it with the Brave browser.
I think linux is a good choice. I have only tried one distro but everything has worked fine.
I already have a small dell windows 11 notebook and put Linux Mint on one of my girlfriends really old laptops. I am going to put Mint on her newer laptop I think since I was pretty happy with the performance on the other one. As long as it can do Zoom meetings and browse the web and print she will probably be happy.
My stationary is going to the dump.
Luckily I have a MacBook air that works like a charm. It has never given me problems like windows computers do.
Already running Windows 11 just fine. I had to manually opt out of backing up all of my files to OneDrive which it decided to automatically do. I mainly use Fedora Linux.
I got a new laptop for work that was twice as fast on paper
Windows 11 has made it slower than the old laptop
Hate it so much
There are Extended updates you can buy i think for a set amount. Either that, or you can easily bodge it, to get arond the TPM Chip requirement for win 11 (tho i think they may have already removed it, not sure)
You could probably get by with 10 for next couple years without updating it to 11.
I use 7 still…

I am planning to keep on using my laptop nonetheless. I have no money or will to buy a new one. My laptop is from 2018 and works great
