Well, I’m on an augmentation of Haldol and a newer antipsychotic called Caplyta. This combo makes it so that I can lose weight, be happy, and it also combats the negatives quite a bit. But, this works for me, it will not necessarily work for everyone. If I’d recommend anything, it would be to augment a newer generation with that of a old generation. But again, this proved advantageous to me, it might very well prove deleterious to someone else.
I take Invega Trinza and I’m doing good. I don’t feel like showering that much but I’m trying to force myself to shower three times a week, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
I’m glad you’re doing well. My psychiatrist told me that caplyta did not go on sale in my country because there was no demand for it. I don’t know if because my country is an underdeveloped country and there is no money in the market.
They say that aripiprazole is the “softest” antipsychotic, but not in my case at least. And on top of that I have been taking it and leaving it for many years.
I took Abilify, the other 2 I didn’t. Thanks for your answer. My psychiatrist told me when I asked about Geodon that he was an “ineffective” antipsychotic.
Oh, yeah, its tricky in other countries, particularly the ones that is not based on free markets, but rather on centrally controlled state run healthcare; they seem to never get the newer medications like America does. So, I’m sorry for that. I also had a stint where risperdal and a antidepressant helped my mood and positive symptoms, but I still gained a lot of weight on it, unfortunately.
Yes, the same thing happened to me with risperidone. Too much weight gain among other side effects. Maybe I could go live there, so I don’t have to wait more years in my country xD. If only I had the money.
