Just wondering. What do you think?
Abilify does, it has an antidepressant component to it.
In fact 5mg Abilify can be used as an addon to an antidepressant.
My olanzapine definately takes the worst of my depression, but i had to take a higher dose than expected: 10 mg as a depot injection once monthly
Do you know if invega does? I feel like my depot ran out and I’ve been depressed for 7 days straight. I feel like a family member died or something. Just really sad
I have to take an AD in combo with invega.
I am on an AD too @Sherlock . It seems it hasn’t been working lately though. I’ve been terribly sad.
Vraylar really took away most of my depression and sadness.
Interesting. I feel like I need to do what someone suggested and just get all new meds. Like an overhaul. More time than not I’m sad. And I get paranoid about once a week.
Perhaps a prn would benefit you? I’m on olanzapine as well.
Fluanxol is said to have antidepressants qualities and is by far the best I’ve felt on an antipsychotic. I still need an antidepressants though
My doctor is really hesitant to change my AP. I think he gets a kickback from it. I’ve mentioned it and he always argues we shouldn’t change it.
I’ve heard some do but not all.
Yes, many AP’s have some sort of antidepressant effect.
Even Risperdal does too
Geodon helped with my depression. Now Caplyta does as that’s what I’m on now.
I’ve heard good things about caplyta. Does it help with negatives?
My symptoms are exactly the same on Caplyta as Geodon. I don’t know how bad my negatives are tbh.
The side effects seem to be better on Caplyta. I can laugh. I didn’t really laugh on Geodon. I don’t do the big belly laughs I used to do before I was medicated though.
