I apparently was on Latuda before but I don’t remember. I guess it didn’t work because I didn’t stay on it. @SurprisedJ is on it though and it works well for him. I never tried Fanapt. Abilify I didn’t like. It amped me up too much, but it works for a lot of people. Talk to your pdoc though and say what you don’t want. Like I didn’t want a med that would keep the weight on or sedate me so we lowered the Seroquel, stopped the Risperdal, and added Geodon. Risperdal was a good med. I didn’t feel any side effects but it stopped my period for two years.
I am on 80 mg Latuda with my Seroquel. I used to be on more Seroquel and less latdua… but now I’m on more latuda.
For me… it’s been a life saver. Latuda gave me my life back. It has some mood stabilizing qualities and that helped me fight off the negative symptoms. It’s not as sedating as Seroquel. I need the Seroquel too… to slow my head down so I can think.
Latuda seems to be fairly weight neutral in my case. I can not believe how much difference one small med can make.
For me… it’s not just meds alone… I also go through therapy for day to day coping tools.
I’m on 7.5MG Abilify - The dose had to be upped due to mood symptoms. Else my dose was actually 5MG to treat the actual psychosis.
I’m on Trilafon right now, and I love it. Only gonna have what’s in the bottle and then I’m out of it because my health insurance can shove their $95 co-pay up their ass. Stelazine waits on deck.
I have 20 mg Abilify and 300 mg Seroquel. I’m happy with them.
Abilify made my mind working again. I had Flupentixol 4 mg before that. It made my voices go away completely but I was a zombie.
Abilify activating. I go to the gym several times/week and Abilify makes me calm. Less anxiety and not restless. BUT it does not work too well on voices. I still have voices but much less paranoia and no delusions.
Seroquel makes me sleepy so I take it in the evening.
I’m on 600mg amisulpride, it gives me a low sex drive, and less sharp concentration, but otherwise no other side effects that bother me. its a good med, helped a lot with symptoms.
