I went to my pdoc today and was much happier than last time because I could see him this time. He is one pdoc I like and trust, because he is experienced and observed me when I was in hospital last year, so rediagnosed me accurately with sz. I told him about other pdocs diagnosing me with Borderline Personality Disorder as well as sz and he said he doesn’t believe I have Borderline. So guys, my correct diagnosis is paranoid schizophrenia. He upped my dose of amisulpride to 600mg daily, for which I was glad, because 400mg he said was a low dose and wasn’t doing optimum for me. I also applied for a disability grant today, so we will see what the future holds.

There are many psychiatrists that do not like to diagnose borderline - I know this from experience - I think a lot has to do with insurance and stigma. It is more difficult to treat borderlines through medication as well.
Many therapists do not readily diagnose borderline - many doctors and therapists consider them to be difficult patients
