I agree. The way expectations are heaped on men are ridiculous. Men aren’t allowed to be “soft” without having bad names thrown at them.
Hmmm. Manhood. You mean strangehood. Or ineffectual jockhood. Oh that roll us people with working dicks. Push are ajenda of Christian morals. I don’t get it.
I disagree.
We men are the way we are due to evolution / survival of the fittest. Over at least 100s of thousands of years it’s been refined.
If women had wanted to mate with the guys who did the cave paintings instead of the guys bringing home the mammoth then maybe we’d all be a bit more sensitive like the author/poet who features in the article.
But they didn’t.
Men are now built to bring home the mammoth.
Yeah @firemonkey those kids worked a bit of evil on that young man and made him question and go a different way. Happened to me. But I questioned the weakness it brought on. It turned into gentleness and not machoness. Having a relationship with God is a complete man and living the life and love.
Women. When I hung out at the convenient store waiting for men buying beer and saying Where’s the party? My kids were with my mom and I had been lonely over 5 years. Phil says men don’t like women around the block. Not at all Phil!
What if women did the cave paintings as well ..
I dont like this thread …

True, but the mammoth has been extinct for a very long time. Hopefully, men (and women for that matter) can feel less pressure to fit societal stereotypes of masculinity and femininity.
@everhopeful your post really doesnt seem to be coming from a male’s perspective …

Yeah. Agreed. @anon57786250. Depending a upon the era.
I have recently started following some vegan men on Facebook.
One lives in Africa and works to stop animal poaching.
He said he used to hunt and was in the army and now he uses that knowledge to protect animals.
He used to think it was manly to hunt animals till he became the hunted when he was in the army.
Another man was attacked by a shark and his hand and leg was lost but now he is a advocate for sharks and a vegan.
Good looking men too.
Fit n take care of themselves.
I follow very admirable men who are not into trying to be what society might perceive as “manly”.
They have very kind looking eyes.
Very compassionate looking kind beautiful eyes.
Hope my future partner is vegan.
Good luck changing nature.
Women still want a guy who brings home a mammoth (i.e. has a job).
But I’m not going to try to convince womankind that they should really consider men who don’t have jobs as potential mates. Trying to change nature is a wasted effort and is hilarious to watch.
So LBGT is a wasted effort ![]()
I’m not following your logic here ..
Yeah, those who dont want to/cant work.
If you’re still living in 1950, more men are becoming stay at home parents and more women are entering the workforce/making more money nowadays …
I was raised by a single mom (who had violent/sick boyfriends in her orbit). As a result I can knit, crochet, sew, and cook like a hot damn. I’m the one who mends clothing and does alterations in my home. Having these skills caused me no end of grief in school, I can tell you that.
I figure just try to be the best person you can be and not worry about where you fit in.
This girls dad in 6th grade crocheted the Last Supper. He seemed manly enough.
I’m sorry man @anon82948922
You should have no trouble getting married then.
