I’ve been on Risperdal for nearly 17 years
Most effective med I’ve been on.
My current dose is 4mg
Yeah it gets a bad rap but this med and Depakote saved my life

I’ve been on it for at least four years and it works great for me. I’m currently on 3mg.

I was suicidal on risperdal because I was impotent and couldn’t have a gf.

Yeah 5mg gives me headaches and fatigue
That’s not good. I don’t think I will go lower than 3mg for a while though, if ever.

Anything lower than 2mg and I become psychotic

Ive been on the injection around 3 years.
It has helped but get a bit flat on it.

Well I was on Risperdone 30 years ago for 8 months. Is didn’t stop me hallucinate or getting compulsions at 16 mgs and I couldn’t sleep on that. Besides of that I got ED on that.
All those matters was solved much better when I got on Clopixol depot.
But I just want to add a story.
A youn lady I knew got on Risperdone at the same time as I. She got 9 mg Risperdone and all her delusions and hallucinations wanished and she lost all the weight she had gained from the Clozapine she took before she got Risperdone.
Clozapine didn’t work on her but so did Risperidone.
It’s strange how one drug that was pure poison to me could become another ones saver and salvation.

Risperidone gives me ED but I deal with it because of how effective risperidone is on my symptoms

I’m on 12 mg Risperidone now. Take 4 mg three times a day.
I love the stuff.
I’m currently symptomatic again, but that’s because I’ve had stress beyond my control this last week.
If not for Risperidone, I’d be really screwed.
Doesn’t make me tired and i don’t gain weight either.

I was a caregiver for my Mom when she was alive.
She suffered with dementia
I’m now my fathers caregiver
It’s a very stressful job

I totally agree with you wave because I do all the groceries for mum who has Schizophrenia aswell.
