Was just informally diagnosed with adhd

Meaning my therapist doesn’t feel competent to actually diagnose it but she said several times she feels I won’t have any trouble getting it when I have my evaluation in Sept.

Honestly wooo

But isn’t that bad news? :face_with_monocle:

Not when you’re struggling and it opens doors up to you getting help.

The issue is that ADHD meds worsen psychosis. Drs wont prescribe them to a schizophrenic patient.

I was hopeful after an ASD dx I’d get more help but not the case as an adult

My Dr refused to prescribe me stimulants, he said I will likely end up in mental hospital. But I am asking him about Strattera, its not a stimulant. Users here said it made them psychotic but I still want to try it, idk.

I was diagnosed with autism as an adult, the only help I got was vocational rehab and they’re paying for me to go to school

Yeah well see what and if they prescribe anything

Do you need this additional diagnosis
for disability?

I wish my Dr would prescribe me that. My family Dr refused to prescribe me adhd meds. I told him to refer me to a psychiatrist, will see what my pdoc think of it.

My pdoc prescribed it. Not sure my family dr would have.
