heyo I was just curious to see if you’ve ever had Concerta or Ritalin I’m just really scared of taking them because they affect the dopamine receptors. Also if you have taken either one of them what affect did they have on you?
I’ve had them all. Ritalin, Concerta, Stratterra.
I was quite young, so I don’t remember how they affected me, but I do remember it gave me some tics I still haven’t gotten rid of, 14 years later.

If you’ve had it prescribed by a psychiatrist, you could try. If it doesn’t agree with you, you can always tell them you want to stop it again,
i’ve never taken ritalin but i have a friend who is on it and it helps him a LOT. his mood improved a ton and hes been doing very well (hes been diagnosed with psychosis and has hallucinations/ect)
I’ve been prescribed both Concetta and Ritalin in the past. It helped me with my depression since it gave me motivation to do stuff. I might ask to get put back on it.
I don’t touch any stimulants. They just worsen my psychosis. I have tried ritalin, it just makes me cry and be paranoid.

My pdoc didn’t want to prescribe me ritalin for my negatives. He said it could induce psychosis.

Never got how my friends would get excited when I got prescribed Ritalin or Adderal or whatever. It makes me less speedy. I guess it has an opposite effect for someone who doesn’t need it.
My adhd was really bad when I was young. Now I’m not sure if I have it. I think it’s more the depression that makes me unable to focus.

I’m taking concerta. It works ok but not great. My pdoc says we will take a look at it next appt. Ì take 72mg
