Do you guys reckon gaming is bad for us?

I read games are good for schizophrenia. Computer games challenge the mind and things like that.

That’s what I read.

I don’t play games though.

I’ve been trying to avoid online multiplayer games, but I don’t think video games in general are bad for us.

No, but I keep the amount of traditional gaming I do in check. Only a couple of hours per week, tops. Same with TV viewing. My exception is the Oculus, which I play exercise games on. I burned out my arms by doing an hour last night.

Uh, only with Supernatural. I belong to their FB group and I see people getting like 1400 Supernatural points from a workout. My best is 93. Kind of humbling.

Pac-Man really messed me up, lead me to a life of dark mazes, walls, repetitive electronic music, and an insatiable urge to swallow pellets to make the ghosts leave me alone.

I’ve never been the same.

I was always ashamed about being a gamer when I was younger, but I grew out of that. Everybody has their own thing whether it be sports , reading , or art. just add games to the category. It’s entirely okay. If you were to sit in front of a computer all day, it’d be no surprise that you need glasses. I’m not sure if this is still true or not because I read it years back, but apparently video games help with decision making.

Depends on the game. I was a kid with the original NES and C64. There were a lot of difficult games that made me feel down if I wasn’t good at them. However, there were other games I was good at and had fun playing, those made me happy.

Are you ashamed of sz too? I think thats the main issue, sz. Not video games. Normies play video games no issues. Sz on the other hand gives me tons of problems and make me ashamed of having a serious mental illness.

I don’t think you can lower or increase that, its natural. Some ppl have higher self esteem while others have lower.

Saliva. It’s a carcinogen, but only when swallowed in small doses over long periods of time.

Outlaw the true villain! Swallowing!

Nah, just need a healthy relationship with them. Kind of like how reading is generally perceived to be a good hobby. But if you spend too much time reading or using it as an escape instead of dealing with issues. Then it becomes unhealthy I think.

Otherwise, gaming can be relaxing. It can be a good way to hone critical thinking skills. There’s a lot of pros to gaming.

Self-esteem comes from having lots of things.
That’s how it works, right?
I’m pretty sure that’s how it works.
