Since I’m just getting back into it, I’m getting a feel for what good farms are. Typically in the past I’ve done dual gathering and flown around the zone with the best price if you combine the herbs + ores that are obtainable there. It’s steady gold per hour, prolly 10-15k minimum depending on the market. The farms I have the most fun with are the rng BoE drops. Gold per hour is super inconsistent, but I’ve made 500k in 1hr group farming Silithus. I never expect that to happen though, as the valuables xmog pieces are rare drops.

Right now I have 350k on my bank toon.

Managed to get Walking Wake and Iron Leaves in Pokemon Scarlet at the last minute before the event ends.

I’ve been playing tactical RPGs a lot lately. Fell Seal is my favorite. I recently took notice of a French indie TRPG Rogue Lite named Othercide. I put it on my wish list and 2 days later it went on sale, down from 29.99 to 8.99. I love the Xbox store! Never buy anything full price, just wish list stuff and wait for sales.

I saw a new Advanced Wars is out on Switch.

It’s pretty good, my brother and I have it. There are new cartoon animations for the COs and 3D model graphics for the units when they fight, and some limited voice acting.

They could have done more with it, but it’s still the best way to experience Advance Wars 1 and 2. My favorite will always be Dual Strike for the DS.

It’s still the same basic game from 1 and 2 though so if you played those to death there’s nothing really new except the art style.

Just finished Pokemon Scarlet, the ending was really good.

I’ve yet to finish Pokémon Sword and Legend of Arceus. I started out both and have enjoyed my time playing them I just have a backlog of games to finish. The newer Pokémon games seem interesting too.

I’m such a creature of habit but still doing skyrim. Now I’m trying to complete and get the badges and there’s a lot I missed in my endless playthroughs.

So looking forward to Starfield this year and seeing bethesda do space. It should be interesting.

Fell Seal Arbiters Mark is a great game. I’m about 3/4ths done with it. If you enjoy that one I’d recommend looking into Wildermyth for PC.

Funny you should mention Skyrim, I was playing it earlier today. I still have yet to finish the main quest line. I’ve finished the companions, the mages guild, and even the thieves guild but not the main quest. When the greybeards shouted “Dovahkin!” My dragonborn totally ignored it.

Yeah I know the feeling. I’m still finding quests I’ve never done before. Like I didn’t want to be a werewolf so just finished the companions quest line. It’s still a great game even after all these years but you can finish it way quick if you want too.

I haven’t finished Sword either. I beat Brilliant Diamond and now Scarlet. Arceus is on my list to play next. The new ones are really good but have a lot of glitches and bad graphics so you have to look past that.

I’m looking forward to Starfield as well. I have a feeling people are going to be critical of it to the point of exaggeration because of the reputation Skyrim has as one of the most popular moddable single player games. I felt the criticisms for Fallout 76 were a bit unwarranted as well. I think Starfield will be enjoyable despite whatever critics say or at least I hope it will be.

I grew attached to my starter Pokémon in sword. I went and named him Firenze.

Yeah matey I think so too. I’m not watching any trailers. Just want to experience the game so I’m pretty keen on seeing what they produce. It’s been delayed a year but it’s a good game studio. It should be good out of the box so to speak.

Actually when it comes to PC I’d recommend Wartales. I saw your earlier post about XCOM. It is XCOM in a medieval low fantasy setting.

I think I read somewhere that it has the most amount of spoken dialogue of any video game. I think the quests will have some interesting options. I haven’t read too much about it but I seem to remember there will be quite a few factions.

Thanks for the recommendation. I’m on a wicked TRPG kick, XCOM in particular is really hard.

I’ll check out the ones you mentioned. I prefer console stuff but do have a gaming laptop for pc only games.

Do you have any noob tips for XCOM Enemy Unknown or maybe know of a good online guide? I need to get better.

Hmmm… I guess one good tip is try to go for shots that have 100% chance to hit. For some reason anything below 80% seems to have a high chance of missing although maybe that has been changed with an update. Take care of your soldiers like they were your babies. It’s okay if you lose one or two over the course of time but losing too many can make the game more difficult at later stages.

For online guides you can probably check on steam for steam guides on the XCOM page.

Wartales is a lot like XCOM, I highly recommend it.

Hey, I am doing a lot better. I realized I need to look for full cover instead of partial if I can, and instead of just ending turns I need to use Overwatch I think. There doesn’t seem to be a good reason to end a turn when you can just use Overwatch but I’m used to games that don’t have Overwatch.

I just finished the Gangplank mission and got a TON of Elerium and Alloy.

Using Overwatch got me enough extra shots on enemies to make the difference.

I got an achievement for clearing a UFO on Classic with one soldier, and another for using an all female team (by using one female soldier). I used my best sniper and she nailed a crit on an 18% chance shot on the first Outsider I’ve ever seen, killing him in one shot. I got through the whole crash site with no injuries it was awesome!
