Hello everyone! This is a thread for everything relating to video games. PC games, console games, even mobile games… you can discuss them here. I am continuing the thread since 7.0 got locked due to length after several months!
I’ve been playing my SNES mini Classic lately. I’m three hours into SNES Zelda and like 6 hours into Earthbound. The system offers state saves which is super helpful for difficult sections. It’s a great little system for emulation. Believe it or not I bought it with the cash I got from selling my Earthbound cartridge and guide on Ebay, with extra left over.
Gonna grab Sonic Frontiers on Series X and possibly God of War Ragnarok for PS5 next month. Still haven’t gotten into PC gaming much except for Rust which is a hilarious game but brutal as well.
There’s a channel on YouTube called “Let’s Game it Out” where a guy plays simulation games and tries to break them by behaving in crazy ways the game doesn’t expect. Some episodes are really funny and I’ve actually bought a few games due to seeing them on the channel, like Cooking Simulator.
I bought Elden Ring and it wasn’t my jam. I’m not a fan of Souls style RPG’s. I’m a bit of a baby gamer and much prefer turn based RPG’s. I’m returning it tonight to preorder Pokemon Scarlet.
I’m really excited about a game I pre-ordered that comes out this month. It’s called evil west. It’s a wild west vampire slaying game. It should be a lot of fun.
I also have Hogwarts legacy preordered but that doesn’t come out on switch until March. Long way to go!
Too Soul’s like. I’m not a fan of the roll and slash games. The game was absolutely beautiful, and I would have loved to play through it just for the story, scenery and atmosphere, but I only had a few days left to return it and wanted to put the money towards Pokemon Scarlet.
I can’t read worth crap the small text on the Switch. Luckily my exam to get new glasses is next Wednesday. I don’t think I am quite bifocals age but maybe a new prescription will help.
When I finish Earthbound I’m going to play Earthbound Beginnings for the NES on my Switch online.
I configured my snes classic to dual boot, emulating the nes or snes depending on what I choose. Now I can play with a NES controller and still save state. Having fun with classic games
Yesterday I found a game I used to love as a kid on the Nintendo DS - Pop Cutie! Street Fashion Simulation. I’m totally sucked into it now. I love these kinds of micromanagement games and I love dress up games so it’s perfect for me
