the xbox 360 will always hold a special place in my heart. its the final generation of consoles where the discs actually contain the full game and dont require a huge download

Got to say that the 34in curved monitor is amazing. Playing a bit of Fallout 4 and back into Skyrim and it’s so much more real estate to look at. Looking forward to Starfield but got to wait till September but meanwhile having some fun with some different games.

Noticed the gpu is punching out over 50% and some of the load screens are a bit longer but worth the price of admission.

I’ve got a 9.50 K/D ratio on battlefield 2042, that’s an improvemnt, but i still need to fix it to positive to feel better about it.

Idk why stats effect me, but i feel like it represents consistency, the higher it is, the better my progress or ability as far as consistency goes

I’ve also downloaded BF4 so i’ll hit my friend up and play that with him at some point I reckon. this one was my favourite, and I reckon, when I try it up again, it’ll probably become my favourite again. Just once i was getting the hang of playing 2042 as well. Idk if that’s good or not, but whatever.

I thnk my mental stamina or attention span is improving, which is the goal for me when it concerns video games. From 5 to 10 minutes to roughly 15 minutes.

(Just played a game and messed up the ratio again lol, too denotivated rn)

im playing retro games lately. i like how with my handheld i can pick it up and play for a bit then when i close the game it saves the state in the exact position i closed it so i can do some stuff around house then resume.
mostly playing mario kart super circuit and soulblade. when i play on pc lately im playing classic style fps like dusk as well as soulcalibur 6. tbh i might sell my gpu and get a steam deck

anybody else have the habit of buying games in bulk when they go on sale then being too overwhelmed with choices to play through one at a time?

Yes, that has happened to me. During steam sales or good bundles I end up getting many video games but my worst habit is that I restart them. For example, I’ll play a video game over the course of a week or two, total maybe 10 to 20 hours, then I’ll switch to another game and when I go back to the first game I feel like restarting it.

It is like a never ending cycle, Fire Emblem, Battlefield 2042, Skyrim, Battlefield 2042, Fire Emblem, Skyrim. That’s my worse gaming habit, I have quite a few video games I just don’t have the willingness to play because of that. I swear I’ve seen the Skyrim intro at least 100 times. “Helgen, I used to be a sweet on a girl from there,” “ah the Mead still smells of Juniper.”

Hey man good to see you still poking around!

You excited for Starfield this September? I’m looking forward to Street Fighter 6 in June and Starfield in September, but also Advance Wars in a week and a half!

I’m playing some retro games right now… back in my youth I beat a game on Game Gear called Shining Force 2… a sequel to Shining Force. Both of those games are tactical grid-based RPG’s like final fantasy tactics or fire emblem, but they themselves are sequels to an old game called Shining in the Darkness, which is a first-person Role Playing Game on Genesis. The dungeons are straight up mazes and you need to map them out with graph paper to stand a chance of completing the game. I found this cool site, a virtual graph paper site, where you can make maps without physical paper! It’s free too. It should come up if you google “virtual graph paper.”

Here’s my ongoing map of the first dungeon:

Diablo 4 looks like it’s going to be really good if you can resist spending money on cosmetics. I played the beta and they massively simplified the inventory system, all loot only takes up one slot, no more tetris-style shape based inventory where some items are tiny and some are huge. Also I don’t think it has corpse runs… but it’s more similar to 2 than 3 in gameplay. I really dislike 3 because of how ability-based everything is. There are very few “standard attack” type moves.

Im excited for diablo 4 but my cousin said it was based off of mobile so he wont play it is this true?

Diablo Immortal is the mobile game, and it’s widely criticized for being pay-to-win. It’s available on PC but was built for mobile first, so I’m assuming that’s what he’s talking about… Diablo 4 is primarily for PC and Playstation/Xbox.

Lots of people are so angry at how they gouged people in Immortal that they won’t buy games from them going forward. I’m hoping they keep the microtransactions in their games separate like Bethesda does with Fallout 76 vs the standard Fallout games.

I’m playing vampyr on switch. It’s a hard game, I keep dying all the time. But I managed to get to the last boss. I’m going to finish it tomorrow.
