Series S is always an option. It’s not 4k but it plays all the same games at 1080/60fps or 1440/30fps. They have a monthly payment option too and it doesn’t add much cost!
Unfortunately I think they’re still really hard to get?
I’m pretty upset because Sony is downgrading all of the new PS5s’ heat sinks to make them easier to make, so by the time I can afford/find one, it will be the inferior version

Amazon’s New World will enter Open Beta on September 9th. I was fortunate enough to try it during the Alpha. I missed out on the Beta. Based on the Alpha I decided to purchase it anyway. The open beta will offer an opportunity for everyone to play. If anyone is interested maybe we could start out a New World crew. From what I remember a lot of gathering and crafting is involved in the game play. It was actually entertaining to me.
For those of you wondering what it’s like, think a mix between Dark Souls combat and Ark or the more recent Conan game. There was some grieving involved where higher level players would chase lowbies with muskets. I’d imagine that type of thing will happen less now that the game is going into open beta. Every game has its quirks I guess. Shame that some of the players in the Alpha were quite toxic in chat and voice chat.

Are there end game raids that require 40 people? I hate raiding so much.

I remember reading there might be a change to the way networking works on the revised PS5. Not much information has been shared about that bit. Shame they downgraded the heatsink.

To be honest, I never made it to end game and the Alpha was much different than the Beta. In the Alpha I had to report on a survey everytime I closed the program. There weren’t skills yet, now there are. Endgame wasn’t quite implemented yet. It seems endgame is more about joining a faction and doing PvP which I’ve never really been into except for WoW. I’m sure they’ll add some form of endgame PvE.
From the videos I’ve seen it seems crafting, factions, and territory control are the end game right now.
The game itself is kinda fun in a weird way. A bit like Dark Souls, there is some feeling of satisfaction when defeating tough foes.

i used the series s with my monitor and it looks fockin great, idk what all the hype about 4k is about, i have a 4k tv but my 1080p monitor looks higher quality, i feel like the image is sharper, plus monitors have higher refresh rate and lower latency. except for super high end tv’s that cost multiple thousands of dollars, and some games do 120 fps at 1080p on the series s. i may get another console in the future, the only reason i returned my series s is because i used part of the money i got from selling my gaming laptop to buy it, now i have a pc i built for $700ish and will never sell it i will just upgrade parts over the years and it might be fun to have a console in addition to it
