Today is Veterans Day in the United States of America. Veterans Day is a day set aside to honor the men and women who have put their lives on the line for their country. Men and women of the armed forces who have stood ready to protect our ideals of democracy. Today we pay tribute to all who have answered our country’s call.

As a veteran, I appreciate the tribute, and I would like to say thank you to my fellow veterans (I apologize if I fail to mention you): @SkinnyMe , @GrayBear , @Montezuma , @crimby , @neveragain and @TomCat .

I wish I was able to have given my service, but the Army rejected me.

Really do have a lot of respect for those who put their life on the line for other people.

I was actually in the Air Force for 1 month, but I quit the officer’s training program as it was too hard. So that doesn’t count. But I know @lekkerhondje was in the Army. Happy Veterans Day to you.

It does count. You tried your best, that’s what matters.

I was an intelligence specialist in the USN for 3 and a half years. I was medically discharged due to symptoms of schizophrenia.

Life has a way of making us adjust our sails.

I had a good day today. Got me a free meal at Golden Corral. Went on a hike with Hope my service dog.
