Happy Veterans Day!

Do you have a Veteran you’d like to thank?

Both my Grandfathers, my Father, my Uncles, my Cousin, pretty much every dude in my family has served.

My Dad was a Naval Officer and pilot, so we moved every two years until he retired, it was brutal, but he clearly loved his work and the military lifestyle.

Its not for everyone, but thank gods it is for some.

Thank you, @Montezuma for your service.

Who else?

I don’t really know everyone who’s served on the forum?

I spent four years in - from 1977 - 81. It was the peacetime army, but I still appreciate Veteran’s Day. I know it must means a lot to the guys who served during war time.

All the previous generations of my family, except my Dad were military guys. I have 2 cousins who went into the Army as well. One is still on reserves and the other lives in California as a Veteran.

@GoldenRex thank you! I appreciate it, from the heart.

My Mom took me out for a little while and I got some stuff for my upcoming birthday.

Then I got a free meal at mcdonalds

So my Veterans Day was pretty good, I guess I was sweating over nothing.

Thanks, @GoldenRex

I was a U.S. Navy Intelligence Specialist from 1982-1985. 2 1/2 years of school, and I served on the USS Lexington (AVT-16) for 6 months.

Honorably discharged under medical conditions (schizophrenia).

I didn’t realize we had so many military people,

I hope you all do something special for Veterans Day!

Happy you got out of the house a little bit after all, @Montezuma.

And @kindness, I feel like I’d read that you were military too, I’m sure that was in interesting time to be an Intelligence Specialist…
