I have to admit I always get teary when I vote, about the privilege of voting. Seems so nice to live in a country where the mentally ill aren’t chained up but actually get the vote. And where we don’t change leadership by coups and assassinations.
I almost lost my right to vote in 2011 when I got arrested for a felony. Fortunately got the charges dropped…
Nope wrong country, but I know who I would have voted for & why.
If Pablo Escobar hadn’t been arrested in the mid 70s he probably would’ve been elected president of Columbia, drastically changing the fate of the nation forever.
I voted twice, once for my voices and once for myself
I feel the same, @Twang. I like to walk down to the polling place and think about what it is that I’m about to do. It’s one of my favorite traditions.
I don’t think I voted in 1976. And I don’t know if I voted in 1980. That was a bad time for me. I’m glad I can vote now. And now is a better time for me.
when I went for a walk today, I saw a HUGE line outside home. made me very very nervous.
even if I wanted to vote, police officers would’ve probably stopped me anyways. they always do. but I would have probably voted, if I could do so online.
Isn’t it funny if you put a space in between on and line in online, it completely changes your willingness to vote
that’s not fair. each of your voices should have an individual vote.
Well, ones Mexican so it voted for Hillary and the other is Italian and a republican so it went with Trump
at least they cancelled each other out then
I feel that way too, about the police. I live in Jersey and when I come into the city I think they all can tell I’m nuts and medicated. The worst are the cops that sit by the tunnels
I voted and it felt good. Almost didn’t vote.
I’ve been declared “incapacitated” (It’s a long story), and they won’t let me register to vote. It doesn’t matter, because if I could vote I would vote “no”.
were you declared “incapacitated” because of your mental illness?
It’s a long story
I voted! About a week ago
Partially. I think it was because of something I did - See, I got a sheet of paper saying I’d inherited $80,000 from my dad. I couldn’t get access to the money, though, and I realized I was never going to touch a penny of that money, so I published the account number on a number of very busy sites.
