We have compulsory voting. You don’t vote you get a letter and a fine. I think it’s like $50 or so. I went overseas for a couple of years and got a letter because I missed an election…easy to sort but kinda funny. I don’t mind compulsory voting although it’s a pain if you vote on polling day.
Honestly that is a good system. Don’t understand why the us turnout is low. It’s democracy. Everyone should vote.
I am guessing this is for the midterms?
In Trinidad our next elections end of year is local government elections and I am voting.
Yes, I am, but not by mail.
I got my vote by mail ballot in today’s mail. I always vote.
Me and my father already voted by mail
I don’t usually bother voting anymore because I don’t like any of the candidates. The last time I voted was in 2016. I don’t care much for politics these days, it just makes me upset. I have enough problems on my own to worry about societies issues.
I always vote early and consider it my civic duty.
I’m voting. I got my absentee ballot.
I don’t vote as I don’t like any of the options, and I am not going to vote for anything just because it’s ‘the least worst option’
oh yeah i gotta register at city hall because i moved.
I have not voted for awhile but likely will this year. I will probably go to the polling place actually. They probably arent very busy with all this mail in voting going on.
Still voting for candidates affect public policies like social security and benefits and healthcare.
I’m also voting for ballot measures that affect our state, healthcare staffing, abortion rights, climate change taxes. Other measures I’m not too concerned but still voting on education, gambling.
Yuuuup!
I enjoy casting my judgement.
