I often find myself thinking that people on tv are subtly talking to me or about me. Is this common?

I had that too.
I stopped watching the news because I thought the presenters were stuck up n hateful and attacking me through the screen and i still think so.
I can’t watch all actors because some are hateful to me through the screen.

That happens to me, usually with people talking in the background of the scene.

They talk directly to me.
They say what i think.

I don’t watch tv. Too much brain washing.
Be proactive, read a book or listen to an educational podcast.
And keep repeating “Nobody can read my thoughts. Nobody is persecuting me. It’s a delusion.”

I still don’t like watching live YouTube videos. I used to not watch live tv. I thought I helped the colts win the Super Bowl. Also I remember forest Whitaker trying to save me on lettermen. They were reacting to me all the time. I swear though I made some local news people laugh one time. It was a funny moment but freaked me out a little. This one was different and real lol. Idk. I’d rather not think about that type of influence. But lettermen and the colts didn’t know I existed.

I dont get deluded per se, on watching the tv. But emotive subjects like the current Gaza war - tend to echo in my head at night.
I think ive got an over active imagination.
All the news is flaming depressing lately.
I have the same problem and I don’t watch TV for the most part because of it
Super common delusion. I’ve never personally had this one but I used to think similar thoughts about music. I thought there were messages in there for me. I’m medicated now so that doesn’t happen anymore.
I don’t know why but the more i see same persons on tv shows, the more i feel they like me/

I can’t watch live t.v. shows…talk shows…football games are o k…if its’ my Oklahoma Sooners playing…super bowl too…that’s ok…but nothing live…even listening to the d j on the radio station screws with me…no…no.
I had a problem with this just before medicated. I was convinced it was filmed and broadcasted to humiliate me. I found it very disturbing. A parade I saw on tv I thought was because I was in a mental unit finally and would never get out. I couldn’t watch tv for quite a while.

I had this a lot while psychotic. Tv, radio and even written words. But meds help me a great deal. Im either completely gone and psychotic or completely free from postive symptoms. Im either well or not. It sucks some of you seem to have residual positive symptoms all the time. I guess in lucky in that regard.
