Why do some topics close after 14 days and others 3 months? Just curious.

We have found that people get upset when their old threads are revived when they’re no longer relevant to them. Generally, that is the length of time it takes for threads in each category to become irrelevant to the person who started the thread.

Yes. Unusual beliefs is 7 days, the lounge is 14, and all other categories are 3 months except medications, which never closes.
