To use or not use the mushroom sauce

Should I use the mushroom sauce today or not? It will be 3 days after the 'use by ’ date .

Has it been opened… Generally those dates are the recommended dates but a few days don’t hurt… How does it smell?

It’s been opened. Smells mushroomy . Then my sense of smell can be quite variable .

If the container was sealed then I’d say it’s fine.
You’re good to go!

I never use stuff after the “use by” date. It’s ok to use stuff after the “best before” date.

I wouldn’t use it.

Since it was previously opened, I personally would taste it and if it tasted off I wouldn’t use it. If there’s no visible mold that’s a good sign.
