Tips for memorizing Details and the Main Idea

I think if we add to this discussion-it will help all of us who suffer from memory problems.
Tips to remember Details:

  1. Don’t try to remember too much at one time.
  2. Remember slowly, but not too slow. Give yourself enough time to remember. However, move on to the next detail if it is taking too long. You can always tried to remember the previous detail later.
  3. As soon as you forget something-try to remind yourself.
  4. Set alarms with descriptions/reminders.
  5. Remember keywords

Tips for remembering Main Ideas:

  1. Brainstorm
  2. Make a mental outline.
  3. Organize information so that you and others can understand.
  4. Summarize information so that you and others can understand.
  5. From your organized and summarized information analyze it- so you and others understand.
  6. Make a conclusion about the information so you and others understand.

I’m old and paid a price with psychosis. I have a good memory for some things and not others. I think this is a worthwhile endevour and kinda do a few myself. Good work.

Tips for short term memory improvement:

  1. Use sticky notes.
  2. Use a voice recorder to record your voice
  3. Use a video recorder to record video.

Tips for long term memory improvement:

  1. Link prior knowledge to new information.
  2. Read for leisure
  3. Read for studying.

You would not survive ten seconds in my workplace.

I think- what I mean by this…is try to remember things in order…try not remember everything at once…which may confuse a person.

Other ways to help with memory:

  1. Don’t be so uncomfortable where you can’t memorize.
  2. Don’t give yourself pressure to memorize. For some people trying to memorize is difficult already.
  3. Analyze your own way of memorizing. Find out what works for you in helping you memorize.
  4. If you have trouble memorizing, try troubleshooting the problems to find solutions.

Eat a healthy diet:
Eat your fiber, fruit, and vegetables.
Eat foods that help with cleansing the digestive tract.

Take care of hygiene.
Overall, be clean.
You don’t have to be perfect, but be clean. Something about being clean helps with mental illness and mood.

Make sure you are eating the right diet for yourself.

Alternate between 2 types of soaps- I use one vegan- one non vegan one week at a time.

Make sure you gastrointestinal health is good.

Good foods:
Oatmeal
Avocado
Yogurt
Vegetables in general
Leafy Greens
Fruits in General
Citrus Fruits

All of the previous mentioned things may not be helpful for everyone. But I think they some may be helpful.
