Those on PIP

Mine is coming up for review and I sent back the form but what happens if I don’t hear by May. Do they just renew it for the year and I have to pay it back if they decide against it.?

I don’t know the answer but I hope you have a favorable outcome. I wish you the best!

Don’t expect it back anytime soon. My partners was due to renew a year ago and we are still waiting to hear there decision for a year now.

In the meantime he still getsit and no you don’t have to pay it back. It’s just they are way behind on cases.

In my case they took 6 months to come to a decision. But it was all backdated. The renewel took 4 months - but i still got paid. They upgraded it to enhanced pip for 6 years. Hope you sent in your clinic letters from your shrink - and a covering letter from your primary nurse!

As you’ve been awarded it before - i wouldn’t worry too much. They are just slow in dealing with it.

I don’t have a psychiatrist or nurse I got discharged. However I did get a 28 page report of why I have autism :flushed:

It’s the first question I get on a disability review. How often do you see your psychiatrist?

I hope you can remain on disability.

Is there anyone who could write you a report?

Is your official diagnosis still sz?

That might protect you.

Yes but I was rejected 4 times with a sz diagnosis. But the last time I got accepted I recently came out of psychosis.

That must mean they thought you were able to still work.

Either way, I hope the review turns out in your favor.

I called them up and they said they will arranged for me to go in, but because of the backlog it might be extended for a year.

You can get pip and work full time

That might be an issue then.

My disability is not federal. I didn’t have enough work quarters to qualify for SSDI, and I have too many assets for SSI.

It comes from my previous job’s long term disability insurance. I have to submit renewal paperwork (including health practitioner forms) every September for the following year.

I always have to list my psychiatric appointment dates. The last two years I’ve been automatically approved the next day, without formal review, just based on weekly pnurse appointments.

I agree that’s why I’m so worried it’s gonna get denied again. My disability is more hidden and the questions they ask are more based on visible disabilities

I think you can definitely say you struggle with socialization and communication.

Maybe that helps.

My report says that too!

I know their running behind which will explain the delay. Mine got reviewed and they just awarded me it untill 26 without sending me for the atos assessment.

I think if you are going through a review, you continue to receive it, until they make their decision. I hope you can keep it, good luck.

My PIP is up for renewal next year. My community nurse says because of the services I’m under and the intensive support I get as well as being in supported living with a large care package I shouldn’t worry.

What is PIP ? I know only Performance Improvement Plan. From my company which I was in, but did perform later on and became stable. That’s a 3 months PIP.
