It’s up for renewal and I have no idea what to expect. I might be disqualified.
Here it’s important to have a report from a pdoc when your disability is being reviewed.
Dont worry about it. They normally take about 6 months anyway, before they decide on your claim. Just get hold of your shrink, or whomever you see for support and get a statement of your condition off them, and send your most recent clinic letter.
Soon as they saw my Sz diagnosis with EUPD, actually they increased it to enhanced daily living componant. (No Mobilty)
It may turn out better than you think.
My PIP took about 6 months to get a decision
Sent them my ASD report, last pdoc clinic letter and a special letter from case worker
I actually got enhanced daily living instead of standard
Wish you luck with it!
The last time was most straightforward as I was already getting a payment
There’s a guide on pip at www.benefitsandwork.co.uk
Its worth paying for.
Likewise there’s a guide with citizens advice bureau, I think
No. Im lucky. I havent had a face to face assesment in 20 odd years, i seem to have got away with it.
So long as you chuck enough evidence at them - you should be fine. I wouldnt be surprised, that so long as they know you got SZ, it would go up.
You need terms in the letter like “lifelong chronic condition” “and only remains stable in the communuty - with ongoing support”. Its all keywords these days.
I refused to go for an assessment and they gave me the mobility part!
Basically i will not attend
I initially didnt get it after renewal. It got cancelled. Then i sent a nurse letter and managed to only get standard element for living but nothing for mobility. Before this, i was for years on emhanced.
My diagnosis are schziophrenia and aspergers
Haha. Nice
I too havent been to a DLA or PIP assessment for 20 years, always paper based. I’m not worried about. the PIP process as I have a very good support network. I got enhanced for both in 2017 for 10 years.
