Thinking about becoming vegetarian

It’s hard for me to stomach eating meat nowadays. Just seems so wrong. It’s gonna be difficult to break from my favorite food prime rib. I think I can do it.

I think about it too. I think it would be fairly easy for me.

I’ve got veggie burgers in the freezer, mainly because the grocery store is frequently out of the regular burgers and they are more expensive.

Gonna transition to majority vegetarianism for health reasons cause I’m mostly done growing. Not gonna say it’s for ethical reasons tho

I was vegetarian for years. Good luck to you! Just make sure you keep and eat veggie sources that are rich in iron and protein (beans are a classic). I ended up with low protein and anemia due to that and my picky eating, but that was over years.

I’ve been a vegetarian for 9 years now  I love it

do vegetarians eat eggs?

Yes! Just no meat

because an egg is a baby chicken, so that’s gross.

I’m headed that way too, too old to keep eating like a caveman.

You can tailor it to your needs

make sure to get enough iron. tomatoe paste and beans are good for that althoguh tomatoe paste will give you less gas lol

If everyone stopped eating meat and we released the cows and pigs and chickens into the wild. The wolves and other predators would eat them anyways. And when the wolves kill them it will be a lot less humane than when we do it, wolves will tear them to pieces and eat them alive.

Eating meat is natural and normal and nothing to feel bad about. That being said I don’t want to see animals suffer unnecessarily, they should be killed and quickly and as painlessly as possible.

That’s inaccurate. It’s what feeds the chick. But the eggs are not fertilized so there’s no baby growing in there

@LilyoftheValley you’re somewhat right… My biological father use to work at a chicken house gathering eggs and he’d be sent home some and he’d give some to my mom (I was about 12 at this time) and one day mom cracked one open (she was teaching me how to cook eggs) and inside the egg was a baby Chicken… My mom explained that chicken houses sometimes keep a rouster in the hen house so if the house was attacked the roster would start crowing and the farmer would wake up and run out and go against the threat in the hen house… But that’s small farmers not big ones like Tysons… Most of the time the eggs from the store are not furtal
