The Suspected El Paso Terrorist Said He Was Motivated By A Hatred Of Immigrants

The ONLY people who aren’t immigrants to the USA are the Native Americans.

White nationalists are destroying this country

I haven’t heard if he was mentally ill

Doesn’t matter, he is deranged.

Don’t worry about it Daze.

It’s not political to say Nazis are ruining the country. It’s just true. I want to make it very clear that we don’t welcome nazis on this site.

Lawmakers are blaming video games. I must admit I was bothered in a Call of Duty game where you shot civilians in an airport. That didn’t turn him into a terrorist I believe.

@daze. My bad
My point of the post was that this guy is saying he’s against immigrants but he has to realize that if he’s not Native American he’s either an immigrant himself or a descendant of an immigrant.

I would go ahead and guess his real problem is skin color, not immigration. After all, there are plenty of places with high counts of Polish or Ukrainian immigrants. Somehow, those are never targeted.

I feel that the Nazis are the least of our problems these days. They are blatant and in your face about their hate, the bigger problem is discrete discrimination. That’s the kind that slowly builds up and infects communities. It starts with a little comment, maybe even a joke. After enough jokes you start to believe its true. I’ve seen first hand the dangers of discrete discrimination. I’m sure you and many others on this forum have as well.

My point is that the alt right movement is getting really good at dressing up their racism to make it sound like they arent really racist, and the masses buy into that. At risk of people accusing me of being a left wing extremist and hating on the alt right, I identify as Republican on many issues except for LGBT and social services. I only bring up those political points to make it clear that I’m trying to be unbiased when it comes to my views on the alt right.

The alt right movement is very bad. It’s not as blatant as a swastika, or a burning cross. It’s very subtle in many ways.

Looks like the Ohio shooter was one of those Incel losers.

it’s fine with me if first person shooter games are banned. I think COD and an impulse control problem are a really bad combo.

I used to play them, but that was before they became photo-realistic. Shooting monsters in Doom or Quake, sure. Taking pleasure in gunning down people? That’s just sick. I’d second a ban. Besides, Donkey Kong and Galaga are more my speed these days. Beat Saber is about as violent and wild as I want to get.

You know I had an old white guy once call me a “half breed Indian”. He was open in his racism. Thing is though when I had my DNA tested I found out that I’m 99.9% European. My dad swears our family is Native American though.

@anon82948922. Donkey Kong is old school. We need more of that.

The El Paso shooter is being described by several TV pundits as a “mentally ill monster,” even though he has no history of mental illness. I knew that was coming. They went on to say “what kind of sick person wears ear protection before slaughtering people”?

We’re the convenient scapegoat. As usual.

I agree with your sentiment. but I tend to agree all of these shooters are not right in the head.

Not right in their hearts, either. I’m generally not a fan of my fellow man, but killing them is not the answer. Netflix and chill is the best approach.

This isn’t mental illness. This is just pure evil.
