That I can’t manage my own money.
That on top of a couple other things has tanked my mood.
It’s probably not as big of a deal as I’m making it but I don’t see a reason for it. I manage my own money as is just fine.

So do you have a conservator? (Someone who watches your money)
That sucks. I would hate that. Can you appeal against it?
Yes
They said I can in a few months or so. I can apply to manage my own money, which I’m already planning on doing.
They did that to me too. The only way to get it in your name is to have your dr sign a form saying you’ve improved. The only problem is that if you improved, they may question your need for disability and you risk losing your benefits
How did you chose your rep payee?
I had the same thing happen to me when I got approved for ssdi I just called my local social security office and explained to them I could manage my own money and they said alright and I didn’t have to get a payee
I have the U.K, version called a Appointee that looks after my money, gives me an weekly allowance and pays all my bills.
I’m married. My husband is my payee. Otherwise, I’d have to pay someone to do it
