The past your past

aside from big mouth notmoses, I used to let my past really bother me but found much more happiness if I just ignore the past now…nothing can be done to undo things we did in the past…all we have is now.

I can agree with this. But there is such a thing as putting your past behind you, and it doesn’t have to be a bad thing.
Also it seems like you’re trying to piss people off in this thread. Are you manic now? Just trying to understand.

One thing I’ve often wondered about the past and sz - if a person with sz for whatever reason had total amnesia would the sz still be there? And no I’m not volunteering to be smashed on the head.

yes, I imagine the sz would still be there…

I used to be mystified by statements like this. Then I was fascinated. Now I am bored, but I understand why.

I can see, hear and feel what is.

(I did a lot of psychotherapy to learn how. A lot more than most people could do in several lifetimes. The government paid for it. And a whole lot more. Some attorneys forced them to do so.)

Most people cannot see, hear and feel what is, nor can they tell it from what is not. Not because they were born stupid. But because they (myself included for most of my life) were made so. And they interpret they way I used to: They take pretty much everything personally.

But because 9,999 people out of every 10K are similarly bamboozled, and most people operate inside the cage of social proof (see Social proof - Wikipedia), they will go to their graves with some degree of psychic pain ranging from a little anxiety to psychotic overwhelm that is neither necessary nor required.

I have no expectations about being understood outside the treatment team meeting. But every once in a while…

I like The Three Stooges.

I have to respectfully disagree with you on this one. It is not your insight that is offensive (and I have to question your insight when you say things like this). It’s your attitude which is the problem here. I think it’s good you want to help others, but sometimes it really seems like you care more about being right than being helpful. And you make a lot of quick judgments about other people. That is why I’m wondering if you’re currently manic, but you don’t need to answer that question if you don’t want to.

A few get it. Most don’t.

Didn’t get to read most of your original reply, but I believe you when you say it would be different if I heard you talk IRL. It’s probably the frustration + difficulties interpreting tone of written language that made me think you had a bad attitude.
