Tattoo artists, how do they do it?

I can barely draw a stick figure. Let alone some intricate pattern with some weird pen that I don’t even damn understand how it works…i’ve never got a tattoo but still…seems easy to mess up and so much frigggin pressure to not mess up. Is tattoo artistry easier than drawing a picture in some way??? Or are they just really talented??? Or something?? Explain.

Some are very talented, yes. I’ve found a guy I like, he’s tattooed me 6 times now, been very happy with his work. They draw out the design on paper first, then copy to a stencil that can be applied to the skin, so when they’re doing the actual tattooing they are following the lines they had already drawn. I’ve always thought it would be stressful, worrying about messing up, but the last time I got tattooed my artist and I chatted the whole time, talking politics and whatnot, and he was perfectly fine doing that while tattooing, so I guess he’s used to it. It takes a lot of talent to do well, I certainly couldn’t do it.

No, they are talented.
At least most of them are.
I went to this one female tattoo artist and unfortunately she ended up scarring up my one tattoo on my shoulder.
I think that she was High when she worked on me.
My other tattoos came out nice.

a family friend did my four tattoos. he drew them out or traced an image onto a thin paper that stenciled the image onto my skin then followed the lines to tattoo my skin. I have four tattoos my first tattoo was my partner’s name then a shamrock with Celtic knots. then a bearded dragon and lastly a tree frog on my wrist,
