Seroquel is great but very strong sedative.

I am reluctant because of that, but all the non-sedating meds are too activating for me.

Pdoc says it’s not as much as Zyprexa
Relieved to hear that!

Seroquel removes time. :alarm_clock:

Woke up not thinking about time at all, going about my business. Then wondered what day it was, thinking it may be the weekend.

It’s not, it’s Tuesday and a work day!

Let me tell you that I Got a simular experience with activating antipsychotics. So the 2 pills of Seroquel that I take by mouth each day(300 mg Seroquel x 2) does wonders for calming me Down and makes me fearless and removes irretability. Besides of the Seroquel I also receive a 500 mg Clopixol depo injection every 3 week. So Thise 2 meds do wonders for my calmness.

I wish for you that you recieve the same benefits from Seroquel.

Thanks for the insight, @Ghosts
It helps to know how people are responding to varying doses, and the effectiveness.

I feel I’m getting closer to the sweet spot.

That’s one thing I haven’t done is injections, and I’m alright with that.

Glad it’s doing you well.

I know seroquel very well as my main AP 800mg +30mg abilify for a long time.

I feel i was ill informed about the sedation and didn’t have insight on how sedated i was.

But i am taking it as a PRN right now in 100-150mg and is calming.

What’s PRN mean?

I understand your concerns in regards to the sleepyness and hunger issues and I understand your fear of being placer on Haldol.
I Think that Im an atypical species but I just cannot tolerate most atypical antipsychotics because they are much to activating and thats why Iv placer myself on major tranqulizers.

On an as needed basis.

I been dealing with anger aggression from the TV at home and sometimes it crosses over to how i interact with my spouse i get into rages.

So I been managing it for months through therapy before and my pdoc added back seroquel to help. I been taking it daily even though it’s as needed.

@Ghosts that is truly interesting. I can never go back to sedating or tranquilizing the moment I experienced geodon and latuda.

Also something else that went away is my hand tremors on seroquel back then. I couldn’t hold a pen or cup of coffee still.

I am eating more right now and gained 10 lbs but I was 50 lbs overweight on a full dose. I want to quit seroquel once I get my aggression under control.

I truly understand your issues with Seroquel every pot is not the same. And I understand your Concerns about the weight gain. And I support your opinion around getting of Seroquel. You know I just treated most people so hurtfull while on the bad mix of meds so Im very glad that I now finally respect other peoples point of views. I know that my experience on antipsychotics is atypical but I want you to know that what ever you chooce to do Ill support.

I’m on 150 mg Seroquel, 240 mg Geodon, and 3 mg Risperdal. This combination relaxes and calms me throughout the day and night without sedating me in the daytime. It also helps me to sleep at night.

I got problems with chest pain on the XR, even only at 50mg. Went back on regular seroquel and the problem is gone.
