Stuff to do, yet I'm not doing it

My motivation has run out for the day, I think. I had planned on going to the gym, going to Walmart to pick up my medication, then stopping by my work to check the schedule, then picking up some groceries. Instead I’m glued to my desk chair, unshowered, haven’t even brushed my teeth, and it’s after 5pm here. This chair is so damn comfortable, though :slight_smile:. I guess even if I don’t go anywhere tonight, if I continue to put stuff off until tomorrow, I at least got exams graded and final grades submitted, so that’s something I did today. I just don’t care about doing anything else right now, and the coffee I just drank didn’t change that. I’ll probably continue to sit at my computer, listening to music and smoking cigarettes.

Iam doing the same thing. But I went out and did chores and visited the doc and finished work. I only have to shower and brush my teeth before bed.

So you’re giving yourself a break. As long as it’s not a regular thing there’s nothing wrong with that. No bodies perfect, sometimes we put too much pressure on ourselves and we have to take mini-vacations.

@77nick77, I actually ended up doing most of that stuff, even though it meant going out in the rain. I picked up my medication, stopped by work to check my schedule and got some groceries, less stuff to do tomorrow. The only thing I didn’t do is go to the gym. Maybe I’ll do that this weekend, have the weekend off.

You’re right, though; it’s good to take breaks here and there. It still was a pretty chill day. :slight_smile:

yeah, exercise is usually on the bottom of my schedule too. although physical fitness/health is important.

I have a motivation problem too. I intended to bake today and yesterday and a few days before that but it never got done yet. I haven’t brushed my teeth for some days. I tend to set myself goals for the day but yet take a few days or a week to do something. I’m a bit slow with housework. I tend to do a lot on my good days so when a bad day comes I can relax.
