Starting Atkins induction today

Time to lose some weight for Christmas. Atkins induction is just meat, cheese and eggs. I have done it before and lost 35 pounds. From 220 to 185. Now my next goal is 165. Sometimes you have to use laxatives because it causes constipation. I use water pills duirex too. Coffee with Splenda, tea black tea and condiments like mayo and mustard are ok. No sugar. Being sz helps because I don’t mind eating the same thing every day and this lowers my grocery bill. Wishing myself good luck. I’m ready to get started. If you are feeling down, I sleep a lot and pretend I am in the hospital. Haha. It works. Yay.

I couldn’t stick Atkins for more than a month! Best of luck with it.

Thank you I actually did a month and fell off the wagon so I am coming back strong today it will be hard but worth it I think. I get tired of eating the same things that’s the hardest thing about it is you get sick of the food!

Good luck!
I’d love to lose some weight but I can’t stick to any one diet :stuck_out_tongue:
Lately I’ve been depressed and eating a lot, oops.

Good luck, personally I would choose something safer and more sustainable.

I lost 63 lbs on the Atkins diet, but I only kept it off for four years. Here’s some recipes for the induction phase. You can get many, many, many other recipes for each phase. All it takes is an easy search online. i was on it many years ago but you might want to read the doctors book and see what he says about dieters just using his induction phase and then leaving the diet. I can’t remember what he said but I do believe that he said that the diet is designed to be a diet for life. Also, there’s many desserts you can make that are suitable for the first phase. Enjoy.
