Thanks to @rogueone telling me to get off my but and move around one of the nights I couldn’t sleep, it clicked. I have been doing all types of stretches, and exercises. Then I asked my mom for tips, she showed me some things. It was hard catching on because she said I wasn’t listening and talking over her, but then I focused and took in the tips. My boyfriend has weights, and I use them too. I feel a lot of mental clarity and a good pain. Working out has literally improved my mental health so far and I can’t wait to see more of the effects as days progress!
good stuff…im into health too… I try to run 20 mins a day…it helps me
That’s great!
That’s great !
I peddle a recumbent stationary bike (10 miles) every 2 or 3 days. It improves my physical and mental health a lot. I bike to music…makes it fun.
I proudly sit idly on an armchair 8 hours a day at the office, then crash on my bed at home.
Oh but I climb the stairs up to my apartment (3rd floor) and I walk about 20-30 minutes a day.
I should go to the gym.
Wow that’s a far distance, good for you!
Your day sounds busy, I don’t like the gym, I get anxiety. Then I get the feeling people think I’m staring at them lol because it’s hard to be in a zone.
Beginning a daily exercise regimen is difficult for the first fews weeks. However, if you can maintain your daily exercises for months to come, you’re good to go.
Thanks for the support I am pretty determined to keep with it.
Well done to you! Glad your getting some positive results. Exercise has made a huge difference to my life and happy it’s working out for you!
Keep on keeping on and let us know of your progress!
Okay I will, thanks!
I’ve been going to the gym now for 3 years. I go pretty much every day. Exercise is the 2nd most important thing I do everyday, the first being taking my meds.
I do yoga for 40 minutes every day. I do it at home by myself to a yoga app. I also practice piano every day for an hour. That is also exercise. I watch my daily caloric intake very closely. I just lost two more pounds. I’m now down to 156 lbs. That’s down from 160 lbs. Only six more lbs. to lose.
Well done @Winterblues! It isn’t easy to get the motivation to work out. I have yet to build up motivation to get of my own butt and into the gym. I’ll get there eventually, i’ve just decided to focus on cutting back on my food, eating less. Then when i see my weight go down, i might have some motivation to get active again.
Glad to hear that the exercise has improved your mind. There are a lot of benefits to regular exercise. Keep it up.
Update: Haven’t missed a day besides yesterday. Went for a 45min walk today in 30 degree weather. I wasn’t paranoid walking, like I was all summer, focused on my breathing and pretty much power walked. Got back and did 100 crunches without taking a break in between.
Way to go! I fully support exercising though I rarely do it myself. When I was in my teens I was a high performance athlete ranked the equivalent of top 100 in the US. But those days are long gone
Never too late to get back into an old routine
Been walking for like 3 hours today. On some kind of high. Time change… At a cafe in a vacant college,ha
I too, miss my athletic performance during my youth.
All last year I couldn’t walk the way I do now. Was too paranoid, and didn’t have enough motivation. So good to have it back
