I was sitting on the couch and heard a loud crack at the front door. Then a thump on the deck. I got up opened the window and didn’t see anybody. The door was open even though it wasn’t unlocked. They must have realized we’re both home and took off

That happened to me 13 years ago. Someone got into my house. I don’t know how many people because I didn’t saw them. We were sleeping. And they stole my husband’s car and 300 euros. They didn’t hurt us.

Me too. I was for me a traumatic experience. Now when I sleep at night and I hear a sound, I feel so scared.

Our door was locked. It always is. But I didn’t have the dead bolt locked this morning. I will all the time from now on.

@Cindy10 I expect it in my neighborhood. People do drugs across the street from my house out in broad daylight. People have been shot and killed and little kids have been robbed at gunpoint for their bikes. I’m sure it’s all for drug money. Anyway, we’ve been robbed before so now I just expect it.

I live in some pretty neighborhoods back when I was younger and had my car stolen once and a dead body in my yard once but after that murder I moved fast.
They caught the guy that did it
He lured a 18yr old out on her birthday
It was awful.
Now that I’m way out here in the country
The only robbery I have is the raccoons stealing cat food all the time.
