They busted in the door to my apt, took both of my TVs, one of my DVD players, and the printer to my computer. They tried to take my computer, pulled it out anyway, but they must have seen how many cables there were to unhook, so they left it, along with my monitor.

I hope like hell they don’t come back. Both of my pets are fine, so that is a big relief. Stuff can be replaced, they cannot.

No, I don’t have insurance. I called the police about an hour ago, and they still have not arrived. I don’t know why I bothered, considering with no insurance a police report isn’t going to do me any good. Calling the police is not the smartest thing to do in a neighborhood like this, but oh well, too late now.
Could they not potentially start an investigation into who took your belongings, probably wouldn’t of been an isolated incident, so you might find other people have reported something similar.
It’s not likely. The guy down the hall saw the guys who did it, but he’s not the best witness. He’s mentally very slow, doesn’t speak well. He found my dog out in the hallway and put her back in my apt for me, at least.
I’m happy your pets were okay, that is what I’d be the most concerned about too.
Once, I was robbed. The jerks stole my gun (I had in the event of being robbed), my laptop, and all my prescriptions. Jokes on them, it was just birth control, seroquel, and possibly a few benzos.

I’ve never been robbed. Once, when I was a small child, someone tried to break into our house using an axe, but gave up before they got in. I was maybe four years old but I remember looking at that splintered wood like it was yesterday.
I hope you’re able to recover from this quickly, and I hope they don’t come back.
98% of cases are plea bargins, if they find them, and most likely they didn’t just go to your place, your items in their possession with even a drunk guy who said they did it. a lawyer that they would get would nevery bring it to trial. Even if its your items back in the condition and 1 /10 value on repairs is still better then nothing.
I’ve had my old house broken into when I was a kid, 5k in stuff gone, we got paid 1/50 since they were minors. Other time it was my car, and they hit all the cats in my neighborhood that were unlocked. Only time, now the cops roll through here 8-10 times a day.
Yeah, I’m pretty pissed off right now. I think maybe the Buspar I was prescribed today is actually helping some, because I probably should be more freaked out right now than I am.
