Social media addiction is not natural or normal – but is it really a disease?

With schizophrenia and antipathy towards social media we have to consider how much is the result of illness related factors , or using it in a way that is likely to result in a bad experience.

Social media is addicting, but that’s because im a very social person! All these ppl living their best life, while im stuck. Def not a good feeling, even though I’m happy for them. I didn’t know it raised dopamine  I don’t need more of that :woman_facepalming:

i reckon if its a bad thing then you are not using it properly, i think it can be a very good thing, it is a platform for me to express myself and share with my friends, its also a good way to create new links and express your opinions,

twitter is my friend right now, i am an aficionado with it atm i’ve reached 36000 people this month and i’m trying to boost my clubhouse analytics too, i enjoy it

You have the genotype AA at position rs4680. This means you tend to have higher dopamine levels than average and may be more vulnerable to stress.
