So. Does / did anyone take magnesium for insomnia? Is it any good?

I’ve ordered magnesium for an elderly relative who suffers from insomnia.

This one, to be exact.

Anyone have any experiences good or bad with magnesium?

I don’t know why, but i take magnesium every night part of my medications. It was a doctors order not for sleep but for something else.

I don’t get any side effects from it.

Yes, I believe it helps a bit, I also use tryptophan and melatonin.

Good luck!

I take 200 mg magnesium glycinate and 200 l-theanine at bedtime. Taking them, I have been able to cut Seroquel from 100 to 50 at bedtime.

I take Magnesium for constipation, and it helps. I take one 500mg tab every night. I also take Melatonin and diphenhydramine HCI. I have trouble sleeping sometimes. It runs in my family. I ‘think’ the supplements help.

I am not sure if it helps my mood. Originally took it in the hope it would help anxiety. Not sure if it helped, but may be helping sleep.
